Question

Who?

Answer

All of you! If you received this link, you’re on our shortlist to join us for a week of celebration and fun. As much as we would love to, we're unable to host everyone in the Villa for the week. If we're able to host you, we have already reached out to let you know. Otherwise, you are still welcome to come to Spain for the ceremony and to hang out at the Villa each day. You will be invited to all events, you'll just need to find separate accommodations for the evenings. We’re asking that this remain a kid-free trip, as we won’t have the availability to accommodate them in the Airbnb and want you to be able to use this time to enjoy your own vacation and time away!

Question

How much will it cost?

Answer

We’re asking that everyone covers their own airfare and chips into the Airbnb/Villa whatever amount you see fit. If you can’t, that’s totally understandable - we’d rather have you there…so we just need you to commit to cover your airfare and being there. However, if you do plan on contributing, the more we receive for the Airbnb above and beyond the initial cost, the more we can add-on for the week’s festivities, such as a daily personal chef within the Villa, in-house massages and spa treatments, wine tours, etc. This will be in lieu of a wedding gift to us and act as our “registry”. Your presence will be the best gift of all! Don’t worry about the Vitamix, we already have one 😉. You can contribute via the "Registry" link on this site.

Question

Will you still have a ceremony or reception in the U.S.?

Answer

Since we’re applying the cost of a U.S. wedding to a destination wedding, we’re uncertain that we’ll be able to afford hosting something within the U.S. If we find that we can offset the cost somehow to also have a party back in the States, we’re not opposed to it! We understand that having a destination wedding may not be accessible for everyone and want everyone to feel included and that you’re able to join us for this special occasion. We’ll probably travel around Europe for a few weeks, so if you can’t attend, you can use the "Registry" link above and contribute to our further travels or for us to host something in the U.S. at a later date!

Question

What to Wear/Bring?

Answer

The weather in Barcelona in early May will likely be an average of highs in the low to mid 70's and lows of mid to high 60s, with over 70% humidity. If you're coming from the PNW like us, this will probably feel fairly warm! We recommend packing a variety of bathing suits, sundresses, shorts, tank tops, rompers, sandals, some closed-toe shoes for any hiking or major walking, and some light layering pieces for the evenings when it gets a little chilly. For the ceremony, consider beach casual: opt for a simple sundress, breezy maxi dress, or high-quality romper. While dressy sandals are acceptable, avoid standard, beachwear flip flops. Nice, short-sleeved shirts such as polos are permitted as well as nice shorts (think Chinos) with a belt. We want you to wear whatever you'll be comfortable in for the evening!
