we're getting married

Josh and Katie had been working at The Sussman Agency for about 6 months but had not yet met each other. A group of coworkers were celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in the conference room when Josh and Katie began talking. Little did they know, they had a lot in common. However, they were on opposite sides when it came to sports teams…Josh is a Michigan fan and Katie is a Michigan State Fan. It was the the beginning of the NCAA March Madness tournament and what better way to continue getting to know each other than bet a bottle of wine on who’s team will make it farther in the tournament.

It was Labor Day weekend and Josh and Katie were in Charlevoix for a relaxing weekend with Katie’s Family. The weather was perfect for an after dinner bike ride through town, to the beach on Lake Michigan. They arrived at the beach and the sun was just beginning to set out on Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful night for a walk along the beach, holding hands, enjoying each other’s company. The beach was a bit rocky and Josh asked Katie if she had ever skipped rocks as a kid. She responds with “Of course I did” and bent down to pick up a rock and skip it across the water. As Katie attempted to skip another rock, she turned around to laugh with Josh and He was down on one knee with a ring in his hand.
