In the town itself, there is a scenic walk along the marina to the Castello (free museum), many places to eat and drink, a beach and another larger beach called Spiaggia Playa a couple miles east which can be reached by public transport.

The Scala dei Turchi is a white rocky cliff on the coast not far from Agrigento, southern Sicily. It has become a tourist attraction, partly due to its mention in the series of detective stories about Commissario Montalbano.
