This is our FAVORITE restaurant in the area. It's a hole-in-the-wall place that does classic American food really really REALLY well. We highly recommend the Super Smash Sliders and sharing a basket of fries.

Our favorite brewery in Gaston County with incredible brunch.
Crowders Mountain State Park
If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Lots of fantastic trails. It's our go-to hiking spot.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
There's so much to do here if want to get outside! Whitewater rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, just all of things.
Daniel Stowe Conservancy
A fantastic non-profit land/wildlife conservancy with so much to see and do! Whenever they host an event, we almost always attend. There's a little something for everyone here.
Carolina Raptor Center
A non-profit bird rehabilitation and education center. Who says you can't go on educational field trips as an adult and sponsor animal welfare at the same time?
Discovery Place Science
See note above about field trips being good for everybody. Also, indoor rainforest...filled with wildlife...so cool!
