Our story is a bit different but we wouldn’t change it for anything! We met online on a dating app back in April of 2018. I (Taylor) was looking through the guys who had viewed my profile and one stuck out… but he didn’t message me. Being the person that I am, I messaged him and we struck up a conversation that lasted 3 days. I finally got the nerve up to ask him why he didn’t message me after viewing my profile… his response “I didn’t think I had a chance”. Boy, was he wrong. The Texas Rangers ball cap he had on and a smile you could see from miles away is what drew me in. We talked every day, all day for a solid month. Spending hours on the phone and texting all day long. He sent flowers to my job 3 separate times over 3 weeks. I was so flattered and he was so sweet and funny. After 6 weeks, we met. 4 weeks after that, I made the leap and moved 6 hours away from home to be closer to him. I had never moved more than an hour away from home before so naturally I was scared and nervous but we made it work and fell deeply for one another. Fast forward to today, we have 2 fur babies, we travel all over for his job and he finally popped the question back in August of 2021. Since then, we (me) have been wedding planning. A lot of people have asked why we chose our date (Wednesday, August 31) and it’s simple. My grandparents were married on that date. Before my grandma passed away, she told me that if I wanted a long and happy marriage, that I definitely needed to get married on that date. So, we chose to honor her wishes and set a date. We’re very excited to share our special day with our family and friends and we hope you all are too.
