We met in middle school, in 2014. We chatted as friends over the next couple of years. Then, out of the blue in July of 2016, Anderson asked me out on a date. He took me to a nice dinner, which in my mind, began to seal the deal. When I got home, I just couldn’t stop smiling and I thought to myself, “this might really be something.” From that day on, we have been together for six years. We are delighted to be getting married this October!
I got home from work on Thursday, April 14th of this year. I noticed a dozen roses on the countertop. Anderson had “something” behind his back and I could not tell what it was. He was smiling and I began to catch on. Then, he requested that I close my eyes and when I opened them, he was down on one knee. Anderson told me that he loved me and then asked me to marry him. The ring he proposed with had been his grandma’s for the last 57 years and now, it was on my hand. After picking my jaw up off of the floor, I screamed “yes!”
