Aaron and McKinley met in 2019 at North Georgia Christian Camp and stayed friends for years, reconnecting each summer and keeping in touch in between. When McKinley moved to Athens for college, they began spending more time together, and what had always been an easy friendship gradually turned into more. They started dating in 2022 and have since spent their time doing the things they enjoy most: coffee dates, intramural sports (soccer being the favorite), and volunteering together at the camp where they first met. On July 19, 2025, Aaron proposed on Hilton Head Island, a place that has been special to them since one of their first day trips together. They’re looking forward to celebrating what comes next with family and friends.
