Nathan and Savannah met each other through mutual family friends. Savannah’s first memory of Nathan was seeing him at a graduation party wearing the most outlandish Hawaiian shirt (one he probably stitched himself). Nathan’s first memory of Savannah was seeing her in a hippy costume as her family was headed to a Christmas party (disclosure; Savannah’s family has themed costume parties every Christmas). From camping trips to family get-togethers, Savannah and Nathan first became friends in 2011. It was not until 2014 when Nathan asked Savannah out to a college paint party. One night was all it took for these two to fall for each other. Two weeks later, Nathan asked Savannah to be his girlfriend. Nathan lived in Placerville, CA and Savannah lived in Clayton, CA, so the first year of dating consisted of weekly dinner dates at their halfway mark in Davis, CA. For the next 8 years, Nathan and Savannah experienced life together. They both enjoyed hiking; kayaking; trying ALL the foods; traveling with each other’s family; and making each other laugh. It was not until, December 12, 2020, Nathan knelt down on one knee in South Lake Tahoe and asked Savannah to marry him. These two always knew they were going to spend the rest of their life together, and now they get to do it as husband and wife!
