FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at 4 PM. The ceremony will start shortly after.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal and comfortable. No tuxes or fancy gowns required! Our wedding has a Celtic/Norse theme, so themed outfits, earthy colors, braids, cloaks, or Viking vibes are welcome—but totally optional.

Question

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be primarily outdoors. There is an indoor area of the venue that guests can use as needed. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony and/or reception may be moved indoors. The ceremony will take place on grass near a lake near many different types of trees and flowers, so be advised that it may trigger allergies in some people.

Question

Can children attend both the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Yes! Please be mindful if your child is having a difficult time staying quiet during the ceremony. There is a playroom in the groom's suite or you can step inside the barn to help them quiet down before rejoining. Also note that the venue's property is very large. There is an open-access lake with a dock (the lake is not open for playing in at all-this is a very strict rule), trees, tall bushes, and multiple areas for children to wander off to or fall and get injured. We ask that all children 7 and under have an adult near them at all times.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes. We will have hard cider, beer, and wine coolers available. Please be sure to have a designated driver and, if children are attending, a sober adult to watch them.

Question

Will there be wedding activities or yard games?

Answer

Yes, there will be outdoor yard games available to play throughout the reception (for both kids and adults!).
