Flight
Denver International Airport is a major hub with good flight deals to almost anywhere in the country, especially on Southwest or Frontier airlines if you want to find something especially cheap. Though the airport is very large it is quite easy to navigate and if you are renting a car there you have a wealth of options. If you’re not renting a car or for some reason don’t have a ride to the city from the airport, the A-Line train is a reliable way to go. (It is possible to Uber all the way to the city from the airport, but be warned it’s about a 40 minute ride and will set you back $40-$60).
Travel Note
For those not flying, Interstate 70 generally provides a smooth and uneventful 9 hour drive from Kansas City, or 12-13 hours from St. Louis. You’ll go through one toll booth in Kansas, and when you enter the Denver metro area try to avoid driving on highway E-470 so you don’t get charged an additional toll.
Travel Note
Denver is quite easy to navigate via the highways, but like any larger city you will likely be slowed down by holiday traffic at some points, so plan accordingly. The area where we live, work, and are getting married is easily accessible via Highway 285 (Hampden Avenue), which runs east to west, and Highway 85 (Santa Fe Drive) which is north to south. There’s plenty of parking in the area almost anywhere you would care to go. Downtown is a different story, though the RTD light rail has a station in our area and is a handy way to get downtown without having to drive.
Travel Note
We would recommend using AirBNB or VRBO over a hotel. You're more likely to get a place that is closer to our wedding events and it will probably be comfier with more space. We think staying near South Broadway, Englewood, Littleton, or Highlands Ranch are all good areas to stay in.
