Mt. Philo State Park
If you'd like to move your legs a bit and see one of the most amazing views of Lake Champlain in all of Vermont, we recommend taking this short hike (roughly 30 mins). Just down the road, make sure to stop in at Fiddlehead Brewing, Folino's Pizza, and Shelburne Vineyard.
Foam Brewers
One of our favorite beer stops. Plus you get an incredible view of Lake Champlain (we highly recommend stopping in around sunset). Walk along the waterfront boardwalk while you're down here!
Oakledge Park
One of our favorite and most special spots in all of Vermont. Bring some drinks and catch sunset over Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. It's also the best (and most affordable) location for kayaking and SUP (stand up paddle board) rentals.
Stowe
Beautiful mountain town with endless options, both outdoor and indoor. We enjoy the donuts at The Cider Mill, the food at Doc Ponds, the views from Stowe Pinnacle (a 1 hour hike), and the beer from the Alchemist, Idyletime, and Von Trapp. It's the perfect place to spend a Vermont afternoon.
American Flatbread Burlington Hearth
Some of the best pizza in town and excellent beers from Zero Gravity. It is the perfect downtown spot for families, groups, and couple alike. Some other favorite local restaurants include: Honey Road, Farmhouse Tap and Grill, Pizzeria Verita, and Hen of the Wood.
