We're Getting Married

Our story starts in junior year math class in 2019. We were seated near each other, and Ryan’s first attempt at conversation was trying to copy McKenzie’s homework — a smooth move that definitely got her attention. Though we shared some laughs and small talk, we didn’t become close right away. When COVID hit in March 2020, the world paused — and so did our connection. A few quiet months passed, and then in June, something shifted. We reconnected, started talking again, and on July 2nd, 2020, we officially started dating at a gathering at our friend RJ’s house. Just a month later, during a beach trip, we said “I love you” for the first time — a moment that felt simple, natural, and absolutely right. Four years later, on July 12, 2024, in the home we now share, Ryan asked McKenzie to marry him. She said yes (of course). From study sessions to soulmates — we’re so excited to start the next chapter of our story.
