Their love story began in 2005 when we met in elementary school in Mrs Allen's Second-grade class. Ragiana has always had an eye for McKenzie, and while in second grade, Ragiana asked him, "Do you like me." McKenzie swiftly responded saying, "as a friend!" Ragiana's heart was shattered as she was left to deal with her first heartbreak. Years have gone by, and while the two was enrolled at Stephen F. Austin Middle School, they became associate friends. It was not until high school that the two became extremely close. McKenzie and Ragiana both attended Memorial High school and, after years of being good friends, they became best friends in 11th grade. During their senior year of high school, they were inseparable, wherever you saw McKenzie, you saw Ragiana and vice versa. Because of their closeness, many of their peers suspected that they were dating. McKenzie and Ragiana both denied it for a very long time, until the middle of their senior year when they started to play along with the suspicions. Instead of denying the, “are yall dating?” questions, they decided to start saying yes to their peers who asked. At serval events, during Senior year McKenzie and Ragiana got very close. Feelings were there but, neither one of them knew how to verbalize them. Until they were at the mutual friend’s graduation party and her cousin who was the same age as them, was flirting with McKenzie and Ragiana overheard it. The next morning Ragiana felt the urge to text McKenzie how she felt in a text message. On June 8, 2016, they decided that they wanted to embark on this new journey as boyfriend and girlfriend and start exclusive dating. Summer 2016 was amazing for the new couple. Even though they experienced college life at different schools, they made sure to spend as much time together as they could. After 5 years of dating, McKenzie proposed to Ragiana on February 13, 2021, at the Gerald Hines Water Wall Park. McKenzie and Ragiana will be getting married on June 26, 2022.
