"We're getting Married!"

We met through mutual friends in highschool. It is actually quite funny because, when we met we were both dating other people and we did not like each other. Well years went on and we both went off to college living two separate lives. We had added each other on the infamous app of snapchat and began talking occasionally( mainly me complaing about all my boy drama lol) Months went by and we began talking more and more each day. Till finally one day he decided to shoot his shot. I turned him down hard lol. Like a typical guy he played off cool. Well we remained friends and continued to talk on a daily basis and even began hanging out whenever both of us were back home. A few more months went by and he decided to shoot his shot again. This time I didn't turn him down(cause secretly I had been catching feelings for him) So we started dating and sooner or later days turned into months and months turned into years.

It all started a week prior to the day that he asked. We had been hunting with family, when he mentioned that we had not been on a "fancy" date in a while and should go on one. I not thinking anything of it at the time said "okay sure". So we had planned to go out the following Saturday. That Friday my sister had asked me to go with her to get our nails done cause in her words " we need to treat ourselves". So we get our nails done and she paid for it which I thought was weird ( I argued and insisted I pay for mine but that didnt work out lol). At this point in time I started to have my suspicions about how "fancy" this date was gonna be. So the day comes and he takes me to OKC and we go and eat at Zios Italian Restaurant. We then go to bricktown, and walk the river and play mini golf at brickopolis. During this whole time, I lowkey had a feeling he was going to pop the question anytime. Well, the night got late and we decided it was time to head home. On the ride home the song "Till you can't " by Cody Johnson came on. As I'm singing my lungs out especially the line where it talks bout putting a ring on a girls hand, I turned the radio down and looked at him and said "you know I had my suspicions about tonight" to which he replied "suspicions about what?" So I held up my left hand and pointed at my ring finger. He said " oh why would I make it that obvious?" I replied with "oh I don't know". The whole time he had that smirk on his face he does when he is hiding something. Well we get bout a mile from my house, driving on backroads when he turns and says to me "you know what else we have not done in a long time?" I replied"what?" He pulls the car over and says "we haven't danced in a while." So by this time I knew something for sure was going on cause this boy does not dance. So as I am getting out of the car he turns on "You make it easy " by Jason Aldean (which is what we considered our song). So there we are dancing in the glow of his headlights. I can hear his heart start to beat faster and his breathing starting to get more rapid when he says "do you love me?" which I responded "of course." He replies "forever and ever?" I responded "forever and ever". He then proceeds to get down on one knee and asked "McKenzie will you marry me?" So of course I said yes and here we are! We are so excited to be able to share our special day with all our friends and family!
