This story starts on a Wednesday night in the college town of Radford, Virginia. For those who do not know about Radford, the college crowd has designated Wednesday nights as the start to their weekend. Neither Jared nor McKenzie had planned to partake in the Wednesday night festivities until last-minute plans with some mutual friends appeared. Both contemplated whether or not to go out but decided “why the hell not”. McKenzie with her girls and Jared with his guys had all walked over together to the house where the “social gathering” was taking place. Both completely oblivious of the other’s existence continued going about their nights with their friends with no idea that their lives were about to change forever. Then in that shag-carpeted house, with no-AC, and a beer pong table in the living room, Jared and McKenzie met. She was sitting by herself watching the riveting game of beer pong when Jared noticed her across the room. Whether it was the Fireball or the fire in his heart, Jared walked up and introduced himself to McKenzie. It was there that two strangers, not looking for anything other than a fun night out with friends, found the person they would eventually marry. Four years later, Jared and McKenzie are more in love than ever. Over the years they have created a life for themselves as a couple-moving into their first apartment, having their weekly “Taco Tuesdays”, and recently adding a four-legged fur baby into the mix. While young, the two are old souls whose love for one another runs deeper than the latest Instagram or Facebook feeds. Jared and McKenzie would like to thank their friends and family for the roles they have all uniquely played in their relationship. Being with her felt so natural and we could talk about everything under the sun for hours. It didn’t take long for me to realize I’d fallen for her and there was no turning back.
