What is the dress code?

Please wear formal casual dress! **NO BLACK DRESSES** We encourage you to wear whatever color you choose (even white!) but no black. The color black is reserved for the bride & groom.

Why can’t I wear black?

Answer

Throughout history, white was made the primary color for brides because it represented purity, innocence, chastity, & submissiveness. This is mostly seen in the Western world & has been made the norm for centuries. However, in Eastern culture the opposite is true. Black symbolizes, confidence, loyalty, unity, & strength. It is considered an act of love to wear black instead of white. Black is meant to represent undying devotion to your partner until death & it is reserved for your soulmate. It is also viewed as a serious color which is reserved for the most important of life moments. This is why we have chosen to reserve this color for us as we publicly share our love with those who love us most.

If you want to be near us, we live in Waynesville, MO . Hotels near us are located in St. Robert, MO. We recommend the Baymont by Wyndham Ft. Leonard/Saint Robert. If you would like to be close to the wedding venue, we suggest hotels in Springfield, MO. Our personal suggestion is the Oasis Convention Center 2550 N Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO 65803. Our venue does allow liquor but it has to be provided by a licensed vendor. No personal liquor is permitted. We will have a bartender on site who will be serving an open bar we have provided for guests.
