Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 24th clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above.

Question

What time do the festivities start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 PM. We kindly ask you to arrive at 4:30 PM to allow time for traffic delays, parking, mingling with other guests, and getting seated before the "I Do's!".

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The venue is very close (1 mile) to the home of the Chicago White Sox, Guaranteed Rate Field. The Crosstown Classic will be taking place at Sox Park on the day of the wedding at 6:40. We anticipate a major increase in traffic in the area due to this event, so please plan your travel and arrival time accordingly.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place at the Bridgeport Art Center in the Sculpture Garden. There are two wedding venues at the Bridgeport Art Center, so be sure to follow the signs for the Sculpture Garden. Please refer to the photos of the venue in the gallery to ensure you are in the right place.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in a covered space outdoors. Cocktail hour will take place indoors with an option to mingle outdoors, followed by dinner indoors. The outdoor space will be accessible throughout the night for photos, mingling, breathers, etc!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony? Is there parking on-site?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are readily available in the city for transportation to and from the venue. If you choose to drive, our venue has a free on-site parking lot in the rear of the venue allowing plenty of space for our guests to park.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us, hangover on you! Please drink responsibly and carpool/Uber if needed. *please bring a valid ID*

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All invited guests will be listed on your formal invitation. If your invitation is addressed to you "and guest", you are welcome to bring a date. Otherwise, we kindly ask you to attend unaccompanied due to limited space at the venue. We can only accommodate our closest family and friends. We thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you will take this opportunity to treat our wedding day as a date night to relax and enjoy! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us!

Question

I’m having trouble making arrangements for my little ones. What should I do?

Answer

We appreciate you adhering to our adults-only wedding request and know it can be difficult finding childcare! We have found an amazing local babysitter service that can help send fully interviewed, vetted, background checked sitters. We checked them out, and they are legit! You can learn about their process on their website here (https://chicagosupersitters.com/parent-services/), then register here (https://chicagosupersitter.force.com/familyportal/s/register) and set up a call with a person from the agency so they can answer your questions and really help you feel comfortable! We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are SO excited to see our friends and family dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best cocktail or formal attire. Please no denim, t-shirts, sneakers, or shorts. Being a summer wedding, colors are encouraged and we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white or shades of white.

Question

What do I do if I missed the RSVP deadline?

Answer

If you do not RSVP by the given date, you will be marked as a "no". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to the venue and caterer in a timely manner and cannot accept late RSVPs due to this. We hope that you understand.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be clearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP "not attending" by June 1st. If you cannot make it after you have RSVP'd as "attending", please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

For all the days along the way
