In classic millennial fashion, McKenzie and Bill found each other on a dating app! They first connected online in May of 2022 when Bill invited McKenzie to dinner at her favorite spot, Fate Brewing, after she finished a 12-hour nursing shift at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. They spent the evening chatting and quickly realized how much they had in common in terms of their careers, families, life experiences, beliefs, and dreams for the future. Bill asked McKenzie out for lunch again the very next day, and they have been together ever since! In the years that followed, they have grown close to each other's family and friends, traveled and explored the country together, embraced and supported each other's hobbies (which even included McKenzie going camping... yes, in a TENT!), and added a high-energy GSP puppy named Jemma to their family. They have come to realize that they simply cannot live without each other. On January 30, 2024, Bill proposed in the kitchen of the home they would eventually share together, and McKenzie said YES! They have been blissfully enjoying the last year as an engaged couple and cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together. They are incredibly thankful for all those who have supported their love story and cannot wait to see what the future holds for The Mettlers!
