We're getting married!

We originally met during freshman year of high school, but we didn’t really get to know each other until junior year, when we became part of the same friend group. During our senior year, we went to homecoming together and continued building our friendship. That spring, we went to the Sadie Hawkins Dance, and afterward, we started spending more time together one-on-one. Our first date was at Velvet Taco in Houston, and we made our relationship official shortly after. After graduating high school, we went to separate colleges more than 300 miles apart, but we continued dating long distance and made weekend trips to see each other whenever we could. During our college years, we traveled together to places like Colorado, Nashville, New York, Mexico, and Charleston. After graduation, we celebrated with a backpacking trip through Eastern Europe. Max later went back to school at Texas A&M, while McKenzie started working in Austin, so we continued long distance, just a little closer this time. Now that Max has recently finished school, after four years of long distance, we are finally in the same place and ready to get married!
