In the summer of 2023, McKenna attended a school training where she crossed paths with Mitchell's mom, Cheryl. Right away, McKenna felt a special connection with Cheryl, who reminded her of her own mom. They quickly discovered that were not only going to be teaching at the same school, but Cheryl was also going to be the SPED inclusion teacher in McKenna's 5th grade classroom. As the school year started, McKenna and Cheryl developed a friendship, and it was during this time that Cheryl casually mentioned her son, Mitchell, who lived nearby and was single. McKenna couldn’t help but think that he just might be the type of person she had been waiting for. Little did everyone know, God's timing was at work. Cheryl gently suggested that maybe McKenna and Mitchell should meet. They both agreed, and soon after, Mitchell reached out to McKenna. Their first date felt effortless, as if everything had fallen into place just the way it was meant to. From the moment they met, there was an undeniable spark, and it quickly became clear that their connection was something truly special. Looking back, we can see how every moment of our story has been guided by God’s loving hand. The friendships, the timing, and the way our lives aligned—it’s clear that we were meant to find each other. From the trips we've shared, our families coming together, to cooking meals in the kitchen, every moment has felt like magic. We are so grateful for the way God has woven our paths together, and we can’t wait to begin this new chapter as husband and wife.
