Like many high school sweethearts, we first met on the track in high school, two young, gangly runners with quiet little crushes on each other. After a few teenage heartbreaks and time apart, we were brought back together through our maid of honor, Katie. At the time, she was living in John Day, while Kenna lived in Pilot Rock. She suggested that Kenna attend John Day’s homecoming dance with her guy best friend, Quinn their junior year.
