While undeniably one of Italy's finest destinations, navigating the multitude of charming towns, vineyards, hills, and intricate highway networks can be a challenge. We encourage our guests to consider accommodations that we have highlighted below, in the picturesque towns of Pienza and Montepulciano. These choices keeps us close to our cherished friends and family during these special days and allows us to facilitate transportation for all guests to the wedding festivities We have curated a selection of hotels across different price ranges for you to peruse. Rooms have not been blocked to provide the maximum flexibility for our guests to choose the price point and date range that works best for their plans. Each option was chosen for its proximity to the wedding venue, ensuring convenience for group transportation to our wedding events. We would be delighted to have you join us in celebrating from October 1-3, 2024, so we encourage you to bear that in mind while securing your accommodations in Tuscany. Important note: Hotels in Tuscany are quaint, and properties will sell out quickly. To ensure you secure a room that fits your budget, please book early to guarantee availability. Around 25 minutes away from La Foce, complimentary round-trip transportation to our wedding venue will be arranged at a convenient pick-up point in Pienza for all guests staying at these boutique hotels.

This boutique hotel has 8 rooms available with refundable rates starting at €395 per night. Nestled within the historic center of Pienza, it offers a luxurious experience, featuring an in-house café and wine bar. The location is superb, allowing guests the convenience of strolling through the charming streets of Pienza for shopping, dining, and exploration, all without the need for a car. Families will find excellent options here, including junior suites and family suites capable of accommodating 4 or 5 individuals.

When independently searching for Airbnb accommodations, exercise caution, as some may be situated within Pienza but may not offer the convenience of walking distance to the town.

The venue is located 91 miles away from Florence - 1 hour and 45 minutes by car - and 125 miles away from Rome - about 2 hours and 15 minutes by car - right in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Prices shared are estimates based on flight availability at this point in time, for the dates surrounding our wedding. The dates you select, when you book, and your flight path will all impact pricing. We are simply looking to give you an estimate based on what we’re seeing so you can begin planning. Transportation to Tuscany | By Car

To make the most of your trip we highly recommend that you rent a car directly at the airport in Rome or Florence and make the scenic drive to the Tuscan Countryside with all of your belongings in tow. The travel time ranges from approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes (from Florence) to 2 hours and 15 minutes (from Rome). Car rental rates vary depending on the chosen vehicle and reservation duration, but a 5-day rental typically falls within the $500 range. Concerned about driving in an unfamiliar country? An alternative is to hire a driver at the airport. Private transfer costs vary based on the time of day and the number of passengers/luggage but generally start at $700-$1,000. If you’re traveling in a larger group, our travel advisor can assist you with booking a private transfer that will be less expensive per person.

Transportation To Tuscany | By Train

For a more budget-friendly alternative, consider taking a train from Rome or Florence to Montepulciano (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, costing $20-$25). From Montepulciano, arrange a taxi to reach your final destination. Our suggested hotel in Montepulciano, Precise Tale Poggia Alla Sala, is approximately a 15-minute drive from the station, while the town of Pienza is around 20 minutes away by car. Keep in mind that these train routes involve transfers and may pose challenges for larger groups or those with substantial luggage.
