What is the dress code?
Answer
Wedding: COLOUR! Semi-formal - think Yukon garden party! Feel free to wear prints, florals, and bold colours. Please keep in mind, the wedding will be outside so please wear footwear that is easy to walk in and bring a warm layer just in case. Ladies, feel free to refer to this pinterest board for ideas: https://ca.pinterest.com/maclyslo/wedding-guest-outfit-inspiration/ Please refrain from wearing shades of white/cream as well as jeans. If you wish to stay late in the evening for the after party, you’re welcome to stash a change of clothes at the house to change into later on.

What is the weather typically like?
Answer
Yukon weather is very unpredictable! We will make sure to have contingency plans but please keep an eye on the weather and bring something like a shawl or sweater for the evenings as it does cool down!

How far in advance should I book flights/hotel/ rental car?
Answer
Flights you can book a couple months before. Book hotels and rental cars ASAP! They book fast during the summer months.

Where can I stay in Whitehorse?
Answer
Whitehorse has many hotels and airbnbs available! Please book as soon as you can as hotels book up fast in the summer time! Please check out the “travel” page for some recommendations. If you’re coming as a group, consider booking an Airbnb as a group!

Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
If you would like to easily get around, or plan to do some exploring around the Yukon, then yes. Getting around downtown Whitehorse is easy on foot or by bus. You can get around by taxi (Friendly taxi is the best) as well.

Will there be alcohol?
Answer
Yes! We will be having a dry ceremony but there will be alcohol served for the reception and after party. We will have fun non-alcoholic options available for those who choose not to drink.

Will there be dinner?
Answer
We will not be serving a full dinner so please grab a big bite to eat prior to the wedding. We will however have appetizers throughout the reception and snacks later in the evening

How can we get to the ceremony & reception without a vehicle?
Answer
We are going to be booking a shuttle service to help get people to and from the property. Drinking and driving will not be tolerated so please utilize the shuttle service or arrange for a ride home.
