Back when I was in college, I would come home every few weeks to visit my family and get out of the land-locked city known as Orlando. My Mom & I would always go on dinner dates to Alfanos Italian Restaurant in Clearwater. This is where we met Ryan's Dad, Keith. After talking for awhile and getting to know each other, he told us that he had a really handsome son that I should meet. This was the beginning of our arranged marriage... Just kidding ;) After looking him up on Facebook, it was confirmed that he was a very handsome guy. I'm pretty sure the term that came out of my 20 year old mouth was "really hot" but basically the same thing, right? We began to follow each other on social media and he reached out a few times via DM - a true 21st century love story!! However, my college self was still living in Orlando and not looking for anything serious due to my vacation plans, senior year festivities, 15+ credit hour semesters and post college life crisis. When I landed a job and moved back to Clearwater, I thought that it may be time to finally reach out and meet Ryan. After multiple failed attempts at getting me on a date (Hurricane Irma casually ruining our dinner plans, a Bucs game that I refused to go to because it was too hot outside, telling him that I don't get up early enough for a brunch date, etc.) he finally stopped giving me the time of day. Which of course, I did not like. After nearly dying from lack of attention, I finally got him to give me another chance. Our first date was at Island Way Grille on September 21st, 2017 and we never stopped seeing each other after that.
After numerous denials I finally decided to give Alix some space. Or so I thought. She came to her senses and decided to meet me at Island Way Grill for our first date. We sat on the outside patio on the intercoastal for drinks and dessert. Alix was very beautiful and comfortable with herself. I knew it was a match, except for when she told me she was allergic to peaches after I ordered peach cheesecake. With that exception, the night went perfect and now she is the love of my life and the best dog momma.
