Walking with God, hand in hand towards forever!

What started off as a casual conversation with no expectations gradually became something more. Michael couldn't believe that someone so wonderful, sweet and beautiful as Carighan could be real and actually take a liking to him. Carighan was in fact smitten with Michael-how could a sincere, kind, loving and handsome man be so real. Their story quickly blossomed as messages turned to countless hours of talking and affection towards one another. Carighan and Michael picked a day to have their first date but it wouldn't be for a few weeks. Their bond being so strong, could not wait another minute. Michael surprised Carighan at work, meeting her in the building lobby with a bouquet of flowers and her favorite coffee. Carighan walked out of her office, down the hallway to meet Michael in the lobby where he stood with his back to her. As he turned around, his world came to a stop. Everything was in slow motion and he knew in that moment it was love at first sight! Michael set his eyes upon her smile- she gave a little wave and walked right over to him. They embraced in a hug for just a moment but felt like a lifetime of memories. Michael and Carighan sat down for coffee and conversation- full of smiles, light laughter, awe and affection. This was truly the beginning of a love story.

It was Christmas morning, the tree lights and adornments illuminated all the presents and good fortune brought to us from the year. One by one each gift was open with excitement till no more remained. Carighan stood by the tree helping Kringle take a toy out of the box when Michael turned her around and began to speak. Kringle was being fussy over her toy and muffled anything that Michael said but Carighan could see it was heartfelt from the look on his face. A tear began to swell in his eye as Carighan laid a hand upon his cheek and he knelt to one knee. From behind his back, Michael held a little white box and opened it for all to see, a beautiful vintage-inspired ring sat patiently waiting as Michael asked those forever words "Will You Marry Me?" Carighan's mother sat on the couch in complete shock, voided of any words- Carighan nodded yes as Micheal joyfully placed the ring upon her finger.
