Portugal is part of the Schengen Area, and U.S. travelers will eventually be required to complete an ETIAS travel authorization before visiting Europe. ETIAS is not a visa — it’s a quick online form that will be completed prior to travel. At this time, an official implementation date has not yet been set. If ETIAS is required before our wedding, we will be sure to notify guests with clear instructions. Flight
Most guests traveling to Portugal will fly into Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), the main international airport serving the Lisbon area. LIS is well-connected with direct flights from several major U.S. cities. Direct flights to Lisbon from the Northeastern US are available on airlines including TAP Air Portugal, Delta, United, and American Airlines. TAP Air is Portugal's national airline and a Star Alliance member.

Travel Note

Bolt is another popular local ride-sharing option and often offers competitive pricing. If you plan to explore beyond the wedding events, rental cars are also an option, though parking can be limited in some areas. We recommend using ride-sharing services for ease and flexibility during your stay.
