Despite spending two years in classrooms next door to one another for 4th and 5th grade, Jim and Sadichha didn't meet until the first day of 7th grade. Sadichha immediately recognized his awful handwriting as the person whose desk she had sat at (for two years!) during looping, when they'd switch classrooms for subjects. Jim, on the other hand, remembers nothing but abject terror and fear when asked of this period of his life. It wasn't until August 2011, by which time they had become best friends, that they began to date.
Sadichha had nervously purchased a ring for Jim in August. When it came close to when she planned to propose, she realized the ring was too big. Panicking, she bought the same ring in two other sizes (none of which ended up being correct). While spending the day walking through Boston, taking photos, and recording Super 8 footage, they ended up in Jim's favorite part of the city: the Seaport. She panicked, like she had been doing all week, and may have used the word "dude" during the proposal. He accepted.
Though four years have elapsed since they initially got engaged, they’re excited to finally tie the knot, even if it’s not the wedding they initally pictured. A relationship is tested not only by partners’ ability to share joy during the best of times, but their willingness to shoulder burdens together during the lowest of times. After a decade of weathering storms together, they are ready to face the most challenging maelstrom of all; filing their taxes jointly.
