Chris and Tori met for the first time in ninth grade when Chris started at Bartlett Jr./Sr. High School. The two had Intro to Physics together that year, where their relationship started as a friendship. It took nearly their entire freshman year before Chris first asked Tori out. Of course, in the ninth grade, this meant finding the courage to ask Tori on a 'date' via text message. The couple dated for a couple months before Tori broke up with Chris because she said she did not want to ruin their freshman year friendship. As fate would have it, Chris and Tori got back together their sophomore year of high school...and the rest is history!
Chris and Tori spend the majority of their days at work. When Chris is away from Park N Shop and Tori is not stuck teaching at school, they enjoy playing golf together. Nearing the end of summer in 2017, the couple decided to take a trip to Lake George, just the two of them, before the chaos of the upcoming school year started for Tori. Chris was eager to take Tori to Top of the World, a golf course he had previously played at a few years prior. He wanted Tori to experience the beautiful views of the course- which sits up in the mountains and allows you to see the lake in its entirety. He knew this would be the perfect spot to start the next chapter of their lives together. On a picture perfect morning in August, Chris and Tori approached the 15th hole at Top of the World, where Tori was excited to find out men and women teed off together. As Tori focused on hitting the ball, Chris was behind her getting down on one knee. She turned around, in complete shock, tears of joy pouring down her face as she realized what was happening. Chris was kneeling on the most beautiful golf course they have been on together, presenting Tori with a beautiful ring passed down by Chris' great-great grandmother. Tori later found out that Chris' Memere left this ring specifically to give to Tori. After moments of happy tears and pictures capturing their perfect proposal, Tori was ready to share the news. They made phone calls to both sides of their family who had no idea that Chris would be proposing this weekend.
