The Majestic Mirage resort is an all-inclusive resort in a beautiful area of the Dominican Republic, so it is not cheap. The average estimated cost for a 4-night stay is close to $1,000 for one person (if you share a room with another person, i.e. $2,000 per couple). Please keep in mind that these rates can change, up or down, but may also go down as we book more rooms under our wedding group. We know it can be daunting, so please reach out to our travel agent, Amy Peterson, for a quote or for more information. That being said, we completely understand if you are unable to make it due to costs or any other reason. We will miss celebrating with you, but we do not want anyone to be burdened by our wedding! Please join us if you are able and if not, we hope to see you another time!
We suggest that you contact our travel agent, Amy Peterson. The link below has all of our travel details and her contact information.
We ask that you RSVP by October 1st, but we recommend booking your room as early as possible to give yourself more time to pay the balance. Please know that prices can fluctuate so it is better to put a deposit down early if you can. If you put a deposit down, this will hold your room and you can then pay the remaining balance by 10/10/19 (or later if you purchase travel insurance).
This resort is family friendly. The Mirage Club is adults only, but you can request a room in the Family Club and stay there with kids. There is also a kids club that is shared between the Majestic resorts. Please keep in mind that the resort and any wedding festivities will be very alcohol friendly when deciding whether or not to bring children.
The resort has many activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, golf, tennis, etc. You can also contact the front desk to set up an excursion during your stay. The group Renny Travel is a great option for setting up tours. Their offerings can be found at https://rennytravel.com/index.php/app/tours. There are also many other great tour companies in the Punta Cana area depending on what you are looking for.
If you find a cheaper price for the resort elsewhere, please send that information to our travel agent, Amy. She will work with you to match a lower price if it is possible. Please know that this is only for the actual cost of the resort as the flight is purchased separately.
Yes! You will need a passport to travel to the Dominican Republic. If you don't currently have one or yours is expired, you should apply for one as soon as possible as wait times can vary.
We are required to be on site a few days prior to the wedding, but we anticipate most guests to arrive either Tuesday 2/18/2020 or Wednesday 2/19/2020. We don't advise planning to arrive on the day of the wedding as delays can occur and we wouldn't want you to miss anything! There is a 3 night minimum stay so most guests will stay at the resort for 3 to 4 nights, but feel free to stay as long as you like!
We do not have a registry, your presence is the only present we need! We know sometimes people say this, but we really mean it! If you are unable to make it, we completely understand and still ask that no gifts be sent. Thank you!
If you have any specific restrictions, please let us know on your RSVP card or feel free to contact the hotel directly. We will do our best to ensure the wedding dinner can accommodate everyone. For the rest of your stay, the resort has several dining options and should be able to work with any dietary restrictions, but always ask if you are unsure!
We are getting married on the beach! So please wear comfortable shoes and it will be hot so take this into account with your attire. It is not a formal event so wear whatever feels best! For beach weddings women will often wear maxi dresses or sun dresses and men will wear linen clothing or light suits.
We are asking that no one bring any gifts for our wedding. We only hope that you will join us for the celebration and have an amazing time!
For those of you that haven't stayed at an all-inclusive resort before, this means that all food, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and some other activities are included in the cost of your stay. So once you arrive, you can put away your wallet and focus on having an amazing vacation! Be aware that generally, things like spa treatments, golf or motorized water sports are an extra cost.
We have been to several all-inclusive resorts in the past, including another Majestic property and have never had any issues. That being said, please keep in mind that whenever travelling, it is best to follow general safety tips. Always be careful with your belongings and stick with a group when out at night.
The resort does have wifi, so you can call others and text using that (depending on your service). We also recommend downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone prior to the trip. This is how we will be keeping in contact with everyone and it is very easy to use.
