They met in high school. They were opposite ends of the same friend group so they would be at a lot of the same functions and get-togethers. They also both did stage crew and were both youth corp members at Pearl River Ambulance corps. Despite the large amount of times they saw each other, Julia was scared of Josiah. She was intimidated by him and thought he was way too smart for her. He would try to talk to her but she would get a “deer in the headlights” look and run away. After graduation they took different paths but unbeknownst to Julia, Josiah would ask their mutual friends how she was. Fast forward to thanksgiving 2018, they were both in town and both invited to the same post-family thanksgiving party. Julia didn’t want to go since it was cold and she was tired but her friends convinced her and Josiah was there! She was a little scared at first, but they soon started talking and realized they had a lot in common. They stayed “friends but we like each other” until February until Josiah’s brother said in exasperation “just make it official already!!” So they did.
