The Herzog's Est. 2023

It was March 1st, 2020, the first date for Audrey and Jordan. We both had been talking for a couple days and decided to go on a movie date. Jordan thought the movie Invisible Man would be a good movie to see, but Audrey was a little nervous since she wasn’t a big fan of scary or suspenseful movies. Jordan reassured Audrey that if she got scared, he would “protect her”. Instantly Audrey thought this was the cheesiest excuse to hold her hand, fortunately for him, his “moves” worked! After the movie was over, we decided to go get Braum’s ice cream and just sit and talk. The original two-hour movie date ended up being six hours long. Even though this seems like a long date, it felt like it only lasted minutes. We talked about family, friends, school, jobs, dreams, and all the normal first date stuff. Once the date ended, Jordan kissed Audrey goodnight; and this is how their forever began without even knowing it. Audrey and Jordan are unlike most modern or traditional couples, they moved in together in August 2020 which seemed wild to everyone. All of Jordan and Audrey’s family and friends warned them that it was too soon; but they knew it was perfect for them. Some other nontraditional things they did: met on Tinder, adopted their first dog together in January 2021, moved multiple times, road tripped across the west to California in July 2021, celebrated all holidays/birthdays together, work/live together, and many other crazy things. Audrey and Jordan knew from the start that their connection was different from anything they had ever experienced in the past. While some people think it’s crazy, we think it’s perfect!
