Just a quick drive up the road from Mast Farm Inn, this 140-year-old shop is a great stop for a little bit of everything, including treats you might remember from your childhood. We thoroughly enjoy this shop, as well as the shop in Winston-Salem.

Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster
The Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster will race you down 2390 feet of track with speeds reaching 27 mph. The coaster is designed to take each thrilling hairpin turn at full speed, but you can slow down to your preferred speed by applying the hand brake.
Foggy Mountain Gem Mine
We visited Foggy Mountain Gem Mine several years ago and still have the beautiful stones we found. One citrine gemstone was lovingly carved into a ring. Purchase a bucket and sift it in the water, and you can find some emeralds, rubies, sapphires, garnet, amethyst, and more!
