Why this venue?
The Goodman Center's mission is to provide the community with resources they need for all people to be equally successful in life. Of course we immediately loved the location, the aesthetic and wedding coordinator but most importantly respect the vision this non-profit has and their community contributions. One program the Goodman Center highlights is TEENworks, an opportunity for high school students to train with professionals from different career paths to develop skills they can later apply in life. Since culinary arts is a career TEENworks offers training in, we're happy to have these ambitious kids assist with our reception dinner! *****Please bring cash if you'd like to participate in a donation we'll be collecting on-site for this non-profit. It is of course optional. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Did you really change your last names?
No! The current plan is to keep our own last names but after receiving a Christmas card a few years back addressed to 'McHarris' - our celebrity couple name just stuck!
What about dietary restrictions?
We purposefully chose our meal options with these friends in mind. The sides for both main course options will be the same and are gluten free and vegetarian. We will also have a small portion of gluten free desserts if you have a sweet tooth!
Are my children invited?
Though we love the kids in our lives, we're hoping for a (mostly) adult-kind of night. Anyone who's been encouraged to bring their kids have been notified as they are either traveling from out of state or part of the reception. Please be sure to RSVP for all people in your party if your children are coming and make your meal choices for all as well. Hope you parents can enjoy a night out with us, apologies for any inconvenience!
Will there be an open bar?
Since hosting the bar over dinner would likely be frowned upon, we're trying to adult and chose to cover dinner. Please bring cash to wet your own whistle! WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SOON!
