Where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

What time does the Ceremony begin?

3:30pm. Be in your seat by 3:20pm.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors (fingers crossed for good weather) overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cocktails to follow.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/ formal attire. Women can wear dresses, jumpsuits, or matching sets. Men can wear a suit, dress pants and dress shirt, etc (groomsmen will be in tan suits). Be comfortable, but appropriate-it will be hot at the end of August in Virginia. (Do not wear white, all black, mauve/pinks, sage or champagne to allow the bride and bridal party to pop).

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes. There is a large private parking lot at the venue for guests. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be at the same location. Cars must be picked up by 10am the following day, if left overnight.

Are there transportation options?

Answer

Guests can drive or use Uber/Lyft to the venue. There is a large parking lot at the venue if you wish to drive or carpool. Lyft and Uber are readily available from the hotel, however you may want to schedule an Uber/Lyft ride back in advance, as the venue’s location may not have as many available drivers.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

Answer

The ceremony will be moved to the indoor reception area and cocktails will be under a covered patio.

RSVP: How do I RSVP and what is the deadline?

Answer

Using your name on the email invitation, RSVP using the “RSVP” tab above. The deadline to RSVP is June 30th, 2025.

RSVP: What is the policy for plus-ones and children?

Answer

Your invitation will say “and guest” if you have a plus-one. Only children of close family are invited and their names will be addressed on the invite.

RSVP: Can I update or modify my RSVP after I have submitted it?

Answer

Yes, but all RSVPs and edits are due by June 30th, 2025.

Dining and Dietary Considerations: What type of meal will be served?

Answer

The reception buffet will include; chicken, steak, roasted potatoes and assorted vegetable options. Kids meals will be served for children under 12 years.

Answer

Yes. Please include any dietary restrictions within your RSVP. If you have already submitted your RSVP, you can go back to “RSVP” tab and click “Edit RSVP” to add any dietary restrictions. *Vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Registry and Gifts: Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes. If you would like to get a gift, please use the “Registry” tab for more details at https://www.zola.com/wedding/mchaleklockwedding/registry We were very intentional with our registry. We are fortunate to have many household items already. In fact, we are trying to declutter our home as it is. We are excited for new experiences and adventures as a married couple and we hope our registry reflects that.

No photos at the ceremony. Yes, absolutely for cocktails and reception.

Photography and Social Media: Am I allowed to post on social media?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to post on social media. You can use the wedding hashtag #TimeToMaryKlock so we can see the photos too! We will also have a QR code available to drop photos into a shared wedding album.

Yes. We will have a texting service (Jeeves) provide individual updates as necessary.
