Question

Will I need a government issued REAL ID to enter the campus?

Answer

YES! The Academy will strictly adhere to its policies; no exceptions. Please bring either a government REAL ID driver's license, passport/passport card or any other government issued ID.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided from the Westin Annapolis to the Academy Chapel, and back to the Westin Annapolis at the conclusion of the ceremony. The drive will be approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. This mode of transportation will drop guests directly at the front entrance of the Academy Chapel. More details on this transportation will be provided at a later time.

What time should I arrive for the Ceremony?

Answer

Guests are allowed to enter the Academy grounds 60 minutes prior to the ceremony. However, guests will NOT be permitted into the Chapel any earlier than 1440 (2:40pm EST). Please plan accordingly with the anticipated cold weather.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

What is the attire?

Answer

We'd love to see our family & friends dress up with us! So, we would prefer that our guests dress in black tie attire.

Are children welcomed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event with a few exceptions for those who are in the wedding party, so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Am I allowed to drive a personal/rented vehicle onto the Academy grounds?

Answer

Yes, however, only those named on the guest list will be permitted to enter the Academy grounds. In other words, all those within the vehicle must be on the guest list.

Can I Uber/Lyft to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, however, the Uber/Lyft will only be permitted to drop guests off just outside the gated entrances.

What do I do after the ceremony?

Answer

Following a traditional sword ceremony, guest may head back toward the Westin where the cocktail and dinner reception will be held for the rest of the evening.
