It all started at Texas Roadhouse, where I was bartending and Eddie walked in—completely unsuspecting that his life was about to change. We started talking like we had known each other forever, the kind of easy, effortless conversation you don’t come across every day. By the end of the night, he left me a note that simply said, “text me.” I didn’t. (To be fair, I had a boyfriend at the time.) But Eddie didn’t give up that easily. He kept coming back… and every time, there was another note. Eventually, we hung out for the first time. I told him I hated scary movies, so naturally, he put on It. Looking back, that probably should’ve been a red flag—but somehow, it worked. He kept showing up, both at Roadhouse and in my life, and before long we had our first real date: putt-putt. I won (with a hole-in-one, just to set the tone), and from there… it was pretty much forever. Somewhere between the notes, the laughs, and all the unexpected moments, I found my person—and I’d choose him over and over again. — Maggie
