It’s no surprise that two socially awkward homebodies met on a dating app and fell in love. We bonded over horror movies and traveling and talked extensively about music and concerts. Our first time meeting was at Rocky Point for a walk. Kenny appeared to be quiet, reserved, and shy while I was my typical “ball busting” self because sometimes I forget that my personality doesn’t translate well. I didn’t scare him off (luckily), but definitely had him questioning whether or not I even liked him 😅 But here we are, GETTING MARRIED! From our first kiss, to our first concert together, to our first apartment, to our first vacation… we could never picture life without each other. It’s been such a beautiful and chaotic journey and we can’t wait to celebrate another milestone together with all of you 💜✨

In true Melissa fashion, I injured myself a little over a week before Kenny popped the question. I had fractured my big toe and had to hobble around in a boot up until the DAY he proposed. We went to Beavertail state park (one of our first dates) and he walked me over to the lighthouse. 49 steps and a 7 foot angled ladder later, my best friend was whispering sweet words into my ear before dropping down to one knee. Everyone from below was cheering and the champagne was already being popped. It was such a surreal moment and I was once again reminded how lucky I am 💜✨
