It was 2018 when our love story first began, just 2 single twenty-somethings who happened to swipe right on Tinder. I guess you can say it was love at first swipe

While we were driving home from a very busy day, Chris got really quiet in the car and I knew something was off. I asked if he was okay and he reasurred me that he was just tired (although it was mostly the nerves). As we pull into the driveway I notice a bunch of lights going down the walkway. I immediately say “Oooh, we got new walkway lights!” HAHA boy was I wrong. Even though I still couldn’t see, I turn my phone flashlight on and realize the “walkway lights” are tealight candles and there are flower petals along the path. Chris quickly responds with “I planned a romantic evening together with a little help from Steven.” Me, being oblivious, is just excited and I proceed with “Ooooh, are we going to take a bath?!” (Which is hilarious because we don’t even have a bathtub) Still wrong. I open the door and I was speechless. I instantly start crying. In front of me was just a bunch of balloons, petals, lights, a giant backdrop that reads “Will You Marry Me?”, and Chris down on one knee professing his love for me. I also must note during this time, the song that was playing when Chris first told me he loved me was also playing this night. I continue to look around the rest of the room and I am overwhelmed with outpouring love from some of my friends and roommates. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. We popped some bubbly and spent the rest of the evening calling friends and family and just enjoying this beautiful new chapter of our lives. I cannot wait for our forever.
