Question

Ceremony Update (10/18/20)

Answer

We’ve recently been made aware of restrictions at the church for our wedding ceremony. We are only allowed to have our bridal party and immediate family in attendance to meet the church’s COVID guidelines. The ceremony will be streamed at https://stelizabethsetonchurch.org/ if you still want to be a part of it. We are bummed, but we are so looking forward to celebrating with you all at the reception! Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 PM Friday, November 6th at Bedford Village Inn (outside in the courtyard gardens, weather permitting, or in the Great Hall). Transportation will be available before and after the reception for those staying at the Country Inn and Suites. Can’t wait to see you!

Question

What are the current COVID-19 guidelines? (Updated as of 10/18/20)

Answer

Ceremony: Masks required. Cocktail Hour Outdoor: Masks are not required in arranged outdoor cocktail reception spaces but social distancing guidelines must be followed. Indoor (bad weather): Masks will be required when guests are not seated at their tables. Once seated, masks do not have to be worn. Servers will circulate hors d’oeuvres to each table frequently. Masks must be worn when walking to and from the stationary hors d’oeuvres display but can be taken off once guests have returned to their tables. Reception: Masks are required to be worn inside the Great Hall and when visiting the bar & restrooms. Masks are not required seated at tables or when on the dance floor. Dancing at tables with masks on is also an option! Tables will seat a maximum of 6 guests. Stationary Food & Beverage items are required to be served by BVI staff. Bars are permitted to be open and attended at BVI. Plexiglass barriers have been installed to limit the contact of bartenders with guests.

Question

Is Bedford Village Inn the same as The Grand?

Answer

Yes and no! The Grand is a luxury hotel owned by the Bedford Village Inn and is located on the same property. The reception will be held at the Great Hall in the Inn. Hotel rooms are located just across the parking lot at The Grand. There are many restaurants and a spa also located on this property so you can enjoy your whole weekend in one place!

Question

Can I decline your invite last-minute if I'm not feeling well?

Answer

YES!!! Please do not attend if you wake up feeling the least bit sick. We want to keep everyone healthy and safe at our wedding and highly encourage everyone to get tested for COVID-19 just before the wedding.

Question

Will transportation be available?

Answer

Yes! We will provide a bus from the Country Inn & Suites to Bedford Village Inn for the reception. After the reception, we will also provide a bus back to the Country Inn & Suites. If you are staying at the Country Inn & Suites and attending the ceremony, please provide your own transportation to the ceremony. After it ends, you can drive back to Country Inn & Suites, leave your car, and take the bus to BVI for the reception! If you will be staying at BVI/The Grand, we ask that you please provide your own transportation (5-minute drive) to the ceremony and back to BVI for the reception. The reception and after party will be held on this property so you can just walk across the parking lot to your hotel room afterward!

Question

What is the timeline of the wedding?

Answer

4:30 Ceremony begins at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church 5:30 Board bus from Country Inn & Suites for Bedford Village Inn if not attending ceremony 6:00 Cocktail hour at Bedford Village Inn Great Hall or Courtyard Gardens (weather permitting - bring a jacket!) 7:00 Dinner begins in the Great Hall 8:30 Dinner ends & dancing begins 11:30 Reception ends - board buses back to Country Inn & Suites if staying off site 11:45 Bus leaves for Country Inn & Suites *We encourage mask-wearing and social distancing as much as possible! If you are attending the ceremony, we ask that you please provide your own transportation to and from the church. It is just a 5-minute drive from both hotels. We will have a bus available at Country Inn & Suites for those staying there, so you can drive back to the hotel after the ceremony and hop right on the bus to BVI. If you are staying at BVI, the reception will be on site at the hotel so there is no need to drive after the reception!
