We first met on Hinge. Beth wasn’t sure if she wanted to date someone all the way in Grand Forks, but Nick was cute and had a GREAT profile. Nick wasn’t sure if he wanted to date a girl in Fargo, but who could say no to a girl that knew how to build a roof? We matched and started a conversation that hasn’t ended. For our first date, Nick drove down to Brew Bird in Fargo. Neither of us wanted the date to end and lunch turned into ax throwing which turned into a trip to West Acres and endless conversations. Nick proved he wasn’t a serial killer (as a search on LinkedIn suggested) and earned himself some homemade chocolate crinkle cookies. For our second date, Beth said she’d drive up to Grand Forks. However, there was a HUGE storm forecasted. Surprise surprise, it didn’t even snow. Beth wanted Nick to know she was invested so we got a Zoom date set up. On our third date, we went to a sketchy board game store to play Settlers of Catan. Then we grabbed supper (or dinner if you prefer). Nick asked Beth what she was looking for in a relationship, and she told him she wanted to get married. She immediately realized she sounded crazy, back-peddled so hard, got flustered, and did all she could to sound a normal amount of interested. Nick thought she was cute as that’s what he was dating for as well. On our fourth date, Nick cooked dinner for Beth and told her she was his girlfriend (after he got some solid cues). The rest is history and our conversations have never ended <3 We’ve had so much fun getting to know each other and falling in love. We’ve had countless dates that ranged from cooking supper, going for walks, sitting on the couch, kayaking up a river, playing games, a trip to Jamaica, and so much more. We’re going to add to these dates for the rest of our lives together. We are so excited to get married and start our next chapter together!
