Melissa and Joe met in August 2011 when both of them were crashing an apartment swimming pool in Athens, Georgia. Melissa was just about to start her final year at UGA, and Joe was finishing up his last semester. She liked his glasses, and he liked her smile. She challenged him to a pool float race (he won), and he invited her and her friends to a rock show the following night at The Georgia Theatre. Their first official date was at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. After six years together, they're so excited to finally be tying the knot!
