Patrick and Jess met by chance on July 25, 2014 at the Hofbräuhaus. Let's set the scene....Jess and her high school friends were meeting up to celebrate Jon's bday. Another friend, Larry, was coming and bringing his friend Josh and Josh's cousin, Patrick. Josh and Patrick were supposed to be helping out at home...but beer and pretzels were calling their name. Standing on top of the tables, swinging beer and singing along to the German band was where Patrick and Jess met. 5 years and one adorable puppy later, the rest is history.

It was a regular Sunday night in December at the McCulloch-Turocy household. PJs were on, wine was poured, Christmas music was playing and the tree was decorated. The McCulloch's have a tradition of putting a pickle ornament on the tree every year and then everyone else looks for it. Pat is particularly good at this game and it was his year to hide it. It took Jess a long time to find the pickle ornament but once she did, there was a ring attached to it. When Jess turned around, Pat was down on one knee. Jess was so surprised and happy (much to her disbelief that for once in her life, her nails were not painted). Autumn and Steve showed up with bubbly and they spent the rest of the night celebrating and calling their loved ones!
