A cute little used bookstore. If you like books, be sure to stop in and say hi to the friendly owner, Jim, who recruited me into the American Legion.
For our thrill-seeking guests!
Has a small museum, gift shop, and restaurant, as well as bluegrass music on weekend afternoons from 2-4.
A must-see for visitors! It is the most spectacular cavern I have ever visited. Also be sure to check out the automobile museum and the toy museum!
This paved path winds its way alongside Hawksbill Creek. A lovely place to take a walk and look for ducks and herons. There is parking at the intersection of Mechanic Street and N. Broad Street (which becomes 340) and well as a little further down/out of town off 340.
If you like trains, be sure to stop at this beautiful historic train station to take a look at the small railroad museum with a very nice, detailed railroad layout built by the local model railroad club I belong to.
A must-see if you love animals!
There is a small market, a garden shop, and a gift shop here, as well as a petting zoo. Be sure to check out the glowing rock room!
A downtown theater with a gorgeous lobby and multiple screens, some with different themes, like Egyptian, Chinese, and Medieval.
The best mead I've ever had, and comparatively affordable too! As a heads up, it is on the sweeter side.
Not far outside of town. Pretty to hike or drive through. The above address is for the headquarters.
A good place to stop and look around if you collect records!
Not that far outside of Luray to the south. I am a fan of sweet wine, so I recommend their Adonis wine. They also sell Saga meads.
