We met online!!! Yes, Online!!! It is hard to meet people these days with all of the hustle and bustle. I had tried to meet guys at bars, and they never seemed to have the same values as I did. I had almost given up on love when Annette Fog stepped in. Annette and Pete had met on Match.com, and were married soon after. I was nannying for their twin girls at the time. I had mentioned to Annette in conversation about my failed relationships. That is when she asked me to come over one Sunday afternoon. When I got to her house she asked me to look over an online dating profile; little did I know it was my online dating profile. I was totally skeptical. I really did not want to do online dating. Annette told me I needed to go on two dates a week. We compromised on one date a week. Scott was one of the first guys to message me. We began messaging through the website, and soon began texting each other on a regular basis. 10 days later we decided to meet in person, and the rest is history!!!!
It was the day of our two year anniversary since we had started dating. Scott asked me if I would want to go to lunch. I said "yes", but he would not tell me where we were going. I got ready thinking it was going to be a usual lunch date. little did I know. . . As we drove through St. Peters I thought we were heading to the Cheesecake Factory. This is were we have went on several dates. Once he past the exit I began to think of a few other places we might be heading to. Then we began to drive towards Cottleville. I still had no clue where he was taking me. Once we turned in front of the Cottleville Winery, I knew. He was taking me to the place that we had had our first date; the place we had met exactly two years earlier. As we walked hand-in-hand I noticed balloons placed on a few of the tables. I thought "thats nice, someone is having a graduation party!" Then I saw my brother hiding behind a wall. Then it finally hit me. The rest of our family began to come out from behind the wall where they were hiding. I immediately broke down into tears. Scott took my hand and led me to an open area. He got down on one knee and presented me the most gorgeous ring I have every seen. Of course. . . I SAID YES!!!!! It was so special that we got to share such a special day with both of our families. I wouldn't change a thing about that moment. It truly was one of the most special moments in my life.
