Olivia was on her way to meet her new roommate. Nick was on his way to his best friend's house. Neither had any idea that they were about to meet the love of their lives. They were introduced there that afternoon (thank you Ashley!) and immediately hit it off. Later that evening Olivia asked Nick out for ice cream. He declined. She moved to France! You might be thinking "oh dear", but don't worry! They kept in touch while Olivia was studying abroad. When she returned in January of 2022 Nick asked if he could pick her up and drive her to the Grizzly Rose for swing dancing. They began going dancing together on a weekly basis. Nick would pick Olivia up in his pickup truck (sometimes with cupcakes inside) and if you know Olivia, there is no better recipe for success! On May 9th, 2022, Nick asked Olivia to be his girlfriend. The two of them enjoy their time together hiking, skiing, dancing, travelling, and cooking delicious meals. They have traveled together to Iceland, Hawaii, Switzerland, The Grand Canyon, and all over Colorado. Together they have learned to make Chinese food, chicken tikka masala, sourdough bread, and homemade pizza. On May 17th, 2026 on a beautiful, sunny Sunday, Nick took Olivia out for a picnic at their favorite lake in the mountains. He got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him! It was the easiest yes in the world! They are looking forward to a life of glorifying God and enjoying His beautiful creation!
