Kara and Scott met junior year of high school. Scott attended the all boys school Saint Augustine and Kara attended the all girls school Our Lady of Peace. They began dating July 4, 2012. Kara and Scott attended all of the high school dances together senior year and were high school sweethearts in love. Scott decided to go to Marquette university in Wisconsin for college and Kara stayed in San Diego and attended San Diego State. They made the decision to continue as friends as the distance seemed like it would be a challenge for their relationship. They maintained a great friendship for their four years of college. When Scott returned home after college in 2017, it became clear to them that they had never fallen out of love. On December 30th 2017, they began dating again. It was at this point they both realized that they were more than just High School sweethearts. On December 6th 2020, after three years of dating (this time), Scott asked Kara to marry him. Scott set out a trail of roses with love notes and candles leading to a bottle of champagne and a picture from their prom together. He got down on one knee and ask her to be his wife. Both Kara and Scott’s families were there to celebrate the most special night of their lives. Scott and Kara truly believe that everything happens for a reason and are beyond excited to start their life together.
