We're Tying The Knot!

We started out as online friends, just playing online games and talking to one another in company of our other friends from the same group. Then, before we knew it, we were messaging each other privately, asking how the others day was. We eventually switched to calls, much to the chagrin of my sisters because we would stay up so late talking and it would disrupt their sleep (sorry again guys!). We started long distance, though we kept it somewhat secret from our friends and families because we didn't want to put pressure in case it didn't work out. I remember I told my mom about Brandon on a late night in March. She came into my room and sat on my bed, and I told her I'd met a boy online that I really really liked. She asked to see his picture, asked his name, and asked me if I thought he was a good person. I remember she said she would like to meet him, and I like to think that she may have. We were long distance up until we finally got to see each other in person later that year. Our first official meeting came in August of 2022, when we finally had the chance to meet up in person, and hold each other in our arms. I remember feeling so weak in the knees I could barely make it down my best friend Devon's steps. That first hug was like walking into home for me. We spent a week together with some friends and when the week was over, we made a promise to each other; that after the third goodbye there would be no more goodbyes. That promise was well kept, as after my nursing school graduation, I moved with him to Asheville, NC and found a whole new set of mountains I love. We've both loved getting to know each other, learning how the other person works and figuring out how we exist as partners, lovers, and friends. We can't wait to spend the rest of each others lives together figuring these things out, and loving each other along the way.
