20 years I gained a sister. Ryan is far more than my childhood friend. We have been through every season of life together. Ryan showed me what it looks like to live for Jesus and showed me so much of Gods love. She is a woman of great wisdom and empathy. She brightens any room and has a way to make people feel seen and understood. I couldnt imagine going through this season without my sister by my side.

Shelby and I became friends through highschool swim team. We competed for the worst swimmer award and bonded over 4am swim practices and running outside in the freezing cold over Christmas Breaks. Very quickly, she became a confident and safe place. We began to have many deep talks about life and our relationship with Jesus. She has been one of my best friends since then.

Maddie and I were college roommates at JMU and school would not have been the same without her friendship and sisterhood. Maddie is one of the most loyal friends you could ever have. We spent many many nights staying up until the early hours of the morning watching Gilmore Girls and talking. She has been there through the thick and thin and I can't imagine going through this season without her by my side!

Mymy holds such a special place in my heart! We became friends in highschool and let me tell you-- this girl has the biggest heart. Maya is one of those friends that just knows exactly what you need and how to bring you encouragement. I couldn't imagine going through this season of life without her and am so grateful for us to live in the same city again!

I met Leah during our time at JMU. Leah Smyth is one of those special people who when you meet her and spend a while talking with her you can't help but walk away feeling refreshed and like you have your own personal cheerleader. Me and Leah have spent countless hours praying and dreaming and she has been such a vital part of my relationship with God over the years. I'm honored to have her stand by my side on my wedding day.

Nothando "Greeny" Matshoba is one of the most incredible and generous people I've ever met. We became friends when we worked together in South Africa at Hope Worldwide and she became a forever friend to me practically overnight. Even though we have a 7 hour time difference and live in different continents she has truly become a lifelong friend and sister.

Jess Zhu is one of those kind of friends who you meet and instantly just become one of your people. I met her when I moved to South Carolina for Americorps and she made me feel so welcome in Columbia. We have stayed in touch and lifelong friends ever since I've moved back to Virginia.

Xavier has been a best friend since I met him in 2015. Xavier is a man that longs to be made right with our Lord and he is the guy that comes to mind when I think of the scripture Iron sharpens Iron. He is that friend in my life that will help me to challenge my perspective of things and helps direct me back toward God when I fall off the rocker lol. Having Xavier up there with me is such an honor! I can't wait to experience this together.

I met Mason last year during Nicole's graduation and I believe we became friends by the end of that visit. Star Wars will do amazing things in a person's life!
