Our story technically started when Cody was going to SWCC and I met him for the first time… while he was smoking a cigarette. (Truly a romantic start, right?) If you had told either of us that day we’d end up here, we probably would’ve laughed—but life had other plans. From those early days to late nights jamming in the tractor, weekends filled with house projects, and more trips to check corn fields than we can count, our relationship grew into something real. Somewhere between the jokes, the hard work, and the quiet moments, we found the kind of love that just fits. The proposal? Unforgettably us. We were out checking corn for bugs when Cody wanted to show me what “rust” looked like on the plants. I thought we were just doing regular field stuff… until I turned to head back to the truck and he hit me with, “Oh, one more thing.” I turned around, and there he was—down on one knee. Naturally, I blurted out, “Right now?! Like right now??” And he just said, “Yeah, Alexis… right now.” We wouldn’t have it any other way—and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
