We met at a mutual friends Halloween party in 2008. We struck up a conversation that lasted hours that night and began a friendship that would span many many years, 2 of those years as roommates. After having dated for 6 years, we will continue on our journey, getting married 6 years (and one day) from the day we started dating. Autumn: Rusty knew very early on he wanted to be with me, it just took me a bit (10 years) longer to realize how I felt about him. We had been close for a long time, and I thought pursuing anything more would ruin our friendship if things didn't work. Little did I know then, that this friendship was an incredible building block to our relationship. We already knew each others faults, idiosyncrasies, what brought us joy. Being with Rusty has always just felt so natural. We joke about other couples talking about being best friends, or marrying their best friend. "They don't know. They don't really know. WE know." (LOL though I am sure everyone says something similar) Because we do know - its a 10 years of friendship, 6 years of dating kind of know. I am so happy with the life we have already built together and cant wait for what the future holds. Rusty: What she said. ^^^
